Preparations Start
1.The vehicle is at Gear P.
2.Apply the parking brake.
3.Turn o all electrical accessories.
Caution
● Turn o the audio system before
jump start. Or the audio system may
be damaged.
● Determine the appropriate position
for the jumper cable, and do not wrap
it around rotating parts in the engine
cabin, otherwise it may damage the
vehicle and cause personal injury.
Color marking of jumper cables
The positive cable is usually marked in
red.
The negative cable is usually marked in
black, brown, or blue.
In case of jump start of the vehicle,
connect the jumper cable in the
following sequence:
A: Battery of feeding or discharging
vehicle
B: Power supply or normal battery
1. One end of the positive electrode cable
(+) is connected to the positive electrode
(+) of battery A of the discharging
vehicle.
2. The other end of the positive cable (+)
is connected to the positive electrode (+)
of the power supply battery B.
3. One end of the negative cable (-) is
connected to the negative electrode (-)
of the power supply battery B.
4. The other end of the negative electrode
cable (X) is connected to the body of
the discharging vehicle, and shall be
as far away from the battery A of the
discharging vehicle. Do not connect
to the negative electrode of battery A
of the discharging vehicle. Otherwise
it may cause battery A to overheat or
crack, and the electrolyte may ow out.
After connecting the jumper cable, start
the power supply vehicle and charge the
power supply battery B. After starting the
discharging vehicle, carefully remove the
jumper wires in the sequence 4-3-2-1, and
keep vehicle A in the engine running state
for more than 20 min to charge the battery.
