Cleaning and anti-corrosion
treatment of engine
compartment
The exterior surfaces of the engine
compartment and powertrain are treated
with corrosion protection before delivery.
If driving on roads where salt is used to
prevent freezing in winter, the engine
compartment should be thoroughly cleaned
and subsequently treated with corrosion
protection to prevent the corrosive eect of
salt. The ignition switch must be turned o
before cleaning the engine compartment.
The water column should not directly face
the headlights when cleaning.
If the degreasing solvent is used to clean the
engine, the engine's anticorrosive coating
will be cleared o together. Therefore, all
surfaces, grooves, joints, and assembly in
the engine compartment must subsequently
be treated with corrosion protection, so
that they have durable corrosion resistance.
This requirement is also applicable to the
replacement of assembly components that
require anti-corrosion treatment.
The after-sales service shop provides
the cleaning agents and preservatives
recommended by the manufacturer and
has installed the required equipment.
When operating on the engine or in the
engine compartment, such as checking
and lling the working uid, scalds and
other injuries may occur and there is a
risk of accidents and re. When lling
the working uid, it must be ensured that
there is no confusion, otherwise serious
functional failure will occur.
Warning
● The power system should be turned
o before contacting the water
collecting tank to avoid accidentally
starting the wiper and causing
personal injury.
Notice
● When cleaning the engine, the
residual gasoline, grease, and oil will
ow out together, and the oil-water
separator must be used to clear the
dirty water. Therefore, the engine can
only be cleaned at after-sales service
shops or qualied service stations.
● In order to detect leakage in time,
the ground under the car should be
checked frequently. If there is the
stains of oil or other working uids
found on the ground, please go to an
after-sales service shop in time for
inspection.
