Replacement of engine oil and
oil lter
The engine oil and oil lter must be
replaced at the intervals specied in the
Warranty and Maintenance Manual. We
strongly recommend changing the engine
oil and oil lter at an after-sales service
shop.
Preparation before replacement
Replacement of engine oil and oil
lter
1. Park the vehicle on a at surface and
apply the parking brake.
2. Start the engine and warm it up until
the engine temperature reaches normal
operating temperature (approximately 5
min).
3. Shut down the engine.
4. Wait at least 10 min for the engine oil to
return to the oil pan.
5. Use jacks and jack brackets to lift and
support the vehicle.
1. Remove the engine bottom guard (if
any).
2. Place a large oil container under the oil
drain bolt.
3. Remove the oil drain bolt with a
wrench.
4. Unscrew the oil ller cap and drain the
oil. If the oil lter needs to be replaced,
remove and replace it at this time.
5. Remove the oil lter with a wrench.
6. Wipe the mounting surface of the
engine oil lter with a clean cloth. It
is important to remove the used gasket
that remains on the mounting surface.
7. Apply new engine oil to the gasket of
the new oil lter.
8. Tighten the oil lter until you feel slight
resistance, then tighten it with a wrench
by 2/3 turns to secure the lter.
9. Clean and reinstall the drain bolt and
new gasket. Tighten the drain plug
with a wrench and do not use excessive
force.
