(VIN)
Method to obtain VIN
Vehicle identication number, abbreviated
as VIN, is a unique set of seventeen letters
or numbers used on a vehicle to identify
the manufacturer, powertrain, chassis
serial number, and other performance
information.
There are multiple VIN on the vehicle,
among which the following 2 locations are
common:
1.It is located on the instrument panel at
the left lower corner of windshield and
can be seen through the windshield.

As shown in the gure, the vehicle
nameplate is located below the B-pillar
and contains the following information:
brand, vehicle identication number,
vehicle model, engine displacement,
engine model, maximum net power of the
engine, maximum allowable total mass,
number of passengers, factory number, and
manufacturing year.
