Setting adaptive cruise control system
The activation method of the adaptive
cruise control system is consistent with that
of the cruise control system:
1.Tap "System settings → ADAS →
Assistance" in MP5 to select "Adaptive
cruise control" (please tap MP5 to
switch when in P gear).
2.When the vehicle is running normally,
press the adaptive cruise control main
switch to activate the ACC system.
3.When the ACC system is activated, press
to set the current speed as cruise
speed; if the ACC cruise speed is already
stored in the system, you can press
to restore the cruise speed stored in the
system to set it as the current cruise
speed, and the indicator on the
instrument cluster will turn green.
4.Press (resume/accelerate) or (set/
decelerate) to increase or reduce the
cruise speed.
During the cruise process, as the relative
speed with the target vehicle ahead
changes, the instrument cluster will display
dierent status of the distance from the
vehicle ahead to the vehicle and remind the
driver.
When the current radar detects the target
vehicle ahead, the instrument will display
the target vehicle ahead. If the distance
from the vehicle ahead becomes closer and
closer, the instrument cluster will display
the front warning area of the vehicle, and
the indicator on the instrument cluster will
change from green to orange or red.
Notice
After the ACC system is activated,
the driver still needs to place both
hands on the steering wheel, and the
system will continue to monitor.
● If the driver does not place both
hands on the steering wheel, the
instrument cluster will remind the
driver to hold the steering wheel
tightly.
● If the system continuously monitors
that the driver's hands are not on the
steering wheel, the intelligent driver
assistance system will exit into
standby mode and remind the driver
to take over the vehicle.
Service conditions
To activate the ACC system, the following
conditions must be met:
(1)Press the adaptive cruise control main
switch to activate the adaptive
cruise control system;
(2)The vehicle is in D gear;
(3)The engine is running;
(4)Parking brake is not activated;
(5)Four doors, the hood and the tailgate are
all closed;
(6)Brake pedal is not depressed;
(7)The driver's seat belt is fastened;
(8)The ESC system is not turned o;
(9)When the vehicle is running stably,
the ESC system does not intervene in
operation;
(10)The front millimeter-wave radar does
not have any problems that aect its
operation, such as fault, contamination,
and high temperature.
