Installing and Connecng an EX4300 Switch
To install and connect an EX4300 switch:
1. Follow instrucons in "Unpacking an EX4300 Switch" on page 166.
2. Install a power supply if it is not preinstalled:
"Installing an AC Power Supply in an EX4300 Switch" on page 298
"Installing a DC Power Supply in an EX4300 Switch" on page 301
3. Install a fan module if it is not preinstalled; see "Installing a Fan Module in an EX4300 Switch" on
page 293.
4. Mount the switch by following instrucons appropriate for your site:
"Mounng an EX4300 Switch on Two Posts of a Rack or Cabinet" on page 172 (by using the
mounng brackets provided)
"Mounng an EX4300 Switch in a Recessed Posion in a Rack or Cabinet" on page 179 (by using
the 2-in.-recess front brackets from the separately orderable four-post rack-mount kit)
"Mounng an EX4300 Switch on Four Posts of a Rack or Cabinet" on page 176 (by using the
separately orderable four-post rack-mount kit)
"Mounng an EX4300 Switch on a Wall" on page 180 (by using the separately orderable wall-
mount kit)
5. Follow instrucons in
Connect Earth Ground to an EX Series Switch
.
6. Follow instrucons for connecng power as appropriate for your site:

"Connecng DC Power to an EX4300 Switch" on page 199
7. Register your product by following instrucons in
