Trigger a Sweep or Burst
You can select one of four different types of triggers from the front panel for sweeps and bursts:
Immediate or "automatic" (default): Instrument outputs continuously when sweep or burst mode is selected.
External: Triggering controlled by front panel Ext Trig connector.
Manual: Initiates one sweep or burst each time you press [Trigger]. Continue pressing [Trigger] to re-trigger
instrument.
Timer: Issues one or more triggers a fixed time amount apart.
If sweep or burst is on, pressing [Trigger] displays the trigger menu. An illuminated [Trigger] key (solid or blinking)
indicates that one or both channels are awaiting a manual trigger. Solid illumination occurs when the trigger menu
is selected, and flashing illumination occurs when the trigger menu is not selected. The [Trigger] key is disabled
when the instrument is in remote.
Pressing [Trigger] when it is solidly illuminated causes a manual trigger. Pressing [Trigger] when it is flashing selects
the trigger menu; a second press causes a manual trigger.
