Advanced > Protocols: IPP
Using IPP (Internet Printing Protocol, you can output to the printer over the
Internet or an intranet.
Advanced > Protocols: AppleTalk
The printing system network component supports Mac OS of various
versions (see Specifications) and is compatible with LaserWriter driver
version 8.x.
Use to set up the Ethernet interface to communicate via AppleTalk,
enabling AppleTalk protocol operation on the printing system.
Bi-
directional
Printing
Enables (On) or disables (Off) bi-directional printing
using the TCP/IP raw port.
If you turn this setting Off, all data received from the
printer will be ignored.
In order to have the data that is received from the
printer returned to the client when printing with
PostScript, PJL and other such commands, it is
necessary to enable bi-directional printing.

IPP Enables (On) or disable (Off) IPP (Internet Printing
Protocol).
IPP Port
Number
Sets the IPP Port Number. Set the default port number
to either 80 or 631.
Item Description
AppleTalk Enables (On) or disable (Off) AppleTalk protocol.
Printer
Name
Specifies the name of the printing system in the
AppleTalk network.
Zone Name Specifies the name of the AppleTalk zone (network).
An asterisk (*) means the default zone.
