8.5.3.3 Encoder resolution
The parameter <Resolution> is calculated from the impulses per rotation generated by
the encoder used and the length of one rotation. The dimension is pulses/mm.
An encoder which generates 10.000 impulses/rotation with a friction wheel
and which has a circumference of 200 mm is used.
= Impulses/Rotation : Circumference
= 10.000: 200 = 50 (Pulses/mm)
A wrong setting of the parameter <Resolution> may cause improper print outs.
With the <Internal encoder source> selected (please see chapter 8.5.3.1 Encoder
source - StrokeGo-source for details) the production speed respective the printing speed
has to be set as a parameter. This value is entered directly in the input field / display field
<Internal speed >. The dimsion is m/min.
A varying production speed cannot be detected with the encoder source
<Internal>. Only the <Internal speed>set will be used to calculate the
<StrokeGo> signals. Therefor a varying production speed may cause
improper print outs:
If the production speed is higher as the value set, the printout will be
stretched.
If the production speed is lower as the value set, the printout will be
compressed.
