Onceyourphoneison,itmaydisplay“SearchingforService.”Whenyourphonefindsasignal,it
entersstandbymode–thephone’sidlestate.Atthispoint,youarereadytobeginmakingand
receivingcalls.
Ifyourphoneisunabletofindasignalafter15minutesofsearching,aPowerSavefeatureis
automaticallyactivated.Whenasignalisfound,yourphoneautomaticallyreturnstostandbymode.
InPowerSavemode,yourphonesearchesforasignalperiodicallywithoutyourintervention.You
canalsoinitiateasearchforSprintservicebypressinganykey(whenyourphoneisturnedon).
Tip:ThePowerSavefeatureconservesyourbatterypowerwhenyouareinanareawherethereis
nosignal.

PressandholdthePower/Lock Button fortwosecondsuntilyouseethePhoneoptions
onthedisplayscreen.
2. TapPower offandthentapOKtopoweroffthephone.
Yourscreenremainsblankwhileyourphoneisoff(unlessthebatteryischarging).
Wake Up the Screen
Ifyoudon’tusethephoneforawhile,thescreenandbacklightwillshutofftoconservebattery
power.

PressthePower/Lock Button .Yourlockscreenwillappear.SeeLockScreen.
2. Swipethescreentoanydirectiontounlockit.Thelastscreenyouwereworkingonopens.(This
isthedefaultlockscreen.)
Note:Whenturningthescreenon,makesureyoudonotcovertheproximitysensor.Doingsowill
notallowyoutoturnthescreenon.

anddisablethisfeatureintheGesturessettings.
