MSSD FAILED ACTIVE (CTLB)
Description: MSSD monitors the solid state output of U1 and driver TY for proper operation If
either fail in the on position this fault is generated.
Troubleshooting:
1. Check terminal SSD wiring.
MSSD FAILED TO ACTIVATE
Description: MSSD monitors the solid state output of U1 and driver TY for proper operation. If
either fail in the off position this fault is generated. When terminal OL2 is 120VAC and the car is
commanded to run up, terminal SSD should be 120VAC.
Troubleshooting:
1. Check the wiring at terminal SSD and OL2.
MSSD FAILED TO DEACTIVATE
Description: MSSD monitors the solid state output of U1 and driver TY for proper operation If
either fail in the on position this fault is generated. When either fails to deactivate when expected
this fault is generated. When the OL2 is 120VAC and the car is idle, terminal SSD should be low.
Troubleshooting:
1. Check terminal SSD wiring.
MTAB INPUT FAILURE (CTLB)
Description: The Top Access Bypass Monitor (MTAB) input has detected a failure of the Top Access
Bypass (TAB) or (TABA) outputs.
Troubleshooting:
1. Verify wiring at HC-CTL-2 board terminals TAB1 and DLAT.
2. Check access switches and proper wiring of access terminals ATU, ATD.
MTABR INPUT FAILURE (RDRB)
Description: The Top Rear Access Monitor (MTABR) input has detected a failure of the Top Rear
Access Bypass (TABR) or (TABAR) outputs or the TAB1 input.
Troubleshooting:
1. Check the wiring at HC-CTL-2 board terminal TAB1.
2. Check Access switches and proper wiring of the access terminals (ATU, ATD).
MTD FAILED TO ACTIVATE (Hydro only)
Description: The MTD input monitors the status of the TD triac and the TD triac driver. When
either fails to activate when expected this fault is generated.
Troubleshooting:
1. Check the starter configuration and programming record.
2. Check motor contactor wiring and voltages at terminal DD1 on the HC-DVR board.
3. The TD triac may have failed open. Replace the HC-DVR board.
MTD FAILED TO DEACTIVATE (Hydro only)
Description: The MTD input monitors the status of the TD triac and the TD triac driver. When
either fails to deactivate when expected this fault is generated.
Troubleshooting:
1. Check the starter configuration and programming record.
