Preventing feedback loops
There are circumstances under which it is possible to create a feedback
loop on the console.
• If the Direct Output is fed from the Monitor (either Pre- or Post-)
and you set the Monitor Input to DAW SND, or
• The Monitor path is set to DAW SND and you set the Direct Output to
Monitor (Pre- or Post-).
To combat this, the console will take steps to prevent this from happening.
• When you toggle through the inputs of the Monitor path, the DAW
Send will not be available, and the DAW SND led will flash twice
without changing from DAW RET.
• If you have DAW SND set, and you toggle through the Direct
Outputs, when you reach Monitor (either Pre- or Post-), the DAW
selection will be forced to RET.
