Important: Mounting a reader to grounded conductive material may cause communication problems or
unreliable operation. If you need to mount the reader to a bracket or plate, be sure that a proper ground
connection is available. If a proper ground is not available, electrical isolation of the reader should be
performed. Using Omron Microscan’s Isolation Mounting Kit, P/N 98-9000064-01, will ensure that no
ground loop or other external electrical noise can occur through the reader.
