3. Place the driven clutch into the Universal Clutch
Compressor PU-50518. Apply and hold downward
pressure on the outer spring retainer. Carefully
remove the snap ring. Remember the outer spring
retainer contains strong spring pressure.
NOTE: Spring is compression only and has no
torsional wind.
4. With the snap ring (A) removed and spring pressure
relieved, remove the outer spring retainer (B),
compression spring (C), spacer (D), and inner spring
retainer (E).
5. Separate the two clutch sheaves.
6. Inspect the helix on the moveable sheave.
7. Inspect the inner spring retainer for wear and replace
as needed.
