5. Inspect the ring gear for chipped, worn, or broken
teeth. If damaged, replace the gearcase assembly.
NOTE: In the event damage to the gears or
housing requires replacement, the entire
assembly must be replaced.
6. Remove the seals from each side of the gearcase
housing.
