After selecting ‘Failsafe value’ in the drop-down list, you can enter a decimal value of 0 to 255 in the Failsafe
value box.
11.4.3 Input test patterns
The functionality in this paragraph is only available for PBS-001 modules
with software version 2.1 or higher. Please refer to paragraph 17.2 for a
guide to update your module. Use the correct GSD file.
The input modules of ComBricks can be set to a test mode. Different test patterns can be generated
automatically for testing purposes, for example during a commissioning or FAT/SAT phase, to see if the PLC is
programmed correctly.
The following simulation patterns are available:
• On (all inputs to ON)
• Off (all inputs to OFF)
• Blinking (all inputs will blink, frequency is configurable)
• Up counter (inputs will increase, frequency is configurable)
• Down counter (inputs will decrease, frequency is configurable)
• Zig-zag (inputs will zigzag up and down, frequency is configurable)
Open the properties of a ComBricks input module (generally by double-clicking on it) in the configuration tool
and select ‘Parameter Assignment’ or ‘Module Parameters’. A screen similar to Fig. 69 will appear:
