O2 Flush (LTV® 1000 Only)
Use the O
2
Flush option to elevate the delivered FIO
2
to 100% for a preset period of time.
To initiate an O
2
Flush:
1) Push and hold
the O
2
% (O
2
Flush) button (FIO
2
) on the ventilator front panel for three seconds to
initiate the elevation (ramp up) of delivered FIO
2
to 100% for the preset number of minutes.
• The FIO
2
percentile displayed will change to 100 and the O
2
Flush maneuver will start
immediately (regardless of the current ventilation mode, breath rate or phase).
• O
2
Flush will not be initiated if Low O
2
Source is selected.
• O
2
Flush will stop when the preset minutes have elapsed or the O
2
% (O
2
Flush) button is
pushed again.
• When stopped, the delivered FIO
2
percentile will return (ramp down) to the preset O
2
%
setting.
To modify the O
2
Flush setting:
1) Push the Select button while O2 FLUSH is displayed and xxx min is displayed.
2) Turn the Set Value knob until the desired amount of minutes is displayed and push the Select
button. The O
2
Flush time period is set.
Range: 1 to 3 minutes, in increments of 1
