5. Unscrew exhaust clamp.
NOTICE
Do not use pneumatic or electrical
tools as seizure may occur.

6. Unplug the exhaust gas temperature sensor
(EGTS).

7. Disconnect the exhaust hose from muffler.

8. Detach retaining strap.

9. Remove
the LH rear storage basket.
10. Move muffler backwards and slide it through
the rear opening.
Muffle
r Inspection
Check muffler for:
–Cracks
– Corrosion
– Other damages.
Check if exhaust hose is:
– Brittle
–Hard
–Cracked
– Otherwise damaged.
Replace any defective part.
Muffler Installation
With a new muffler, install the EXHAUST GAS
TEMPERATURE SENSOR
. See procedure further
in this subsection.
Open
muffler adjusters by sliding adjuster blocks.
