To ensure the self-sufficient operation and save energy, RTUs can switch between four
different operating modes:
● Sleep mode
All inputs and communication functions are switched off so that energy consumption is
minimal. Outputs can keep their last value.
● Update mode
The mode is used for querying the inputs and outputs. The query cycle can be configured
individually.
● Communication mode
Cellular connection or connection via LAN interface and external router and
communication to master station are active.
● Service mode
The maintenance work can be performed without the loss of data.
