Subsection 05 (BRAKE)
Remove the Banjo bolt no. 4 and discard the seal-
ing rings no. 5.
Unscrew master cylinder screws no. 6 from the
master cylinder holder no. 7 then remove master
cylinder from handlebar.
Inspection
Check master cylinder for cracks or leakage. Re-
place if necessary.
Installation
The installation is essentially the reverse of the re-
moval procedure but pay attention at the follow-
ing.
Install the master cylinder holder no. 7 with the
arrow pointing downwards.

Torque the lower screw first to 8 N•m(71lbf•in)
then the upper screw to the same torque.
BRAKE PADS
Inspection
Look the slot on pad lining. Replace brake pads
when the slot is disappeared. If the slot disap-
pears,theliningislessthan1mm(1/32in).

Removal
Remove clips no. 8 that retain pad pins no. 9.

Pull pad pins out of caliper no. 10.
