S Class 3 User’s Manual
Setup 1-19
The following procedures mainly apply to the use of roll media. If you are using sheets, there are two
options:
1. For long sheets: roll up the sheet, so that the alignment is identical to that of a roll.
2. For short sheets: the alignment is not very important. If the sheet is cut off perpendicularly, it can
be aligned to the front border.
The pinch rollers must first be correctly positioned before an automatic loading procedure can be
started. Correct positioning of the pinch rollers is crucial for controlled movement of the material.
The pressure of the outer two pinch rollers (left and right) can be changed (see section 1.5.2). The
middle pinch roller(s) can be enabled or disabled (see section 1.5.3). All enabled pinch rollers are
simultaneously lowered or raised using the lever arm located on the right at the back of the cutter.
ATTENTION: Always leave the pinch rollers in the upper position when the cutter
is not in use. If you leave the pinch rollers down for a long time, they become
flattened at the bottom, which seriously affects throughput performance and cut
quality.
NOTE: When the pinch rollers are raised during a job, the cutter will immediately
stop and move the carriage to the right side.
