3.5 OPOS CAM on the TC models
The S Class 3 TC models are equipped with a camera instead of the standard OPOS sensor for
detecting registration marks. The distinction between an S Class 3 model with a standard OPOS
sensor and one with a camera becomes evident when the sensor or camera is detecting the
registration marks.
A model equipped with a standard OPOS sensor lowers the sensor to the lower right corner of
the tool head while registering the marks.
In contrast, a model with an OPOS CAM activates a light positioned at the lower right corner
of the tool head when the camera is registering the marks.
The camera can be used either in the same manner as the standard OPOS sensor or in
combination with a computer equipped with specialized software.
Standard print and cut jobs are described in section 3.2. When such jobs are loaded, the
camera operates similarly to the standard OPOS sensor, but with significantly faster reading
of the registration marks.
If the camera is used in conjunction with special Summa software (such as Summa GoSign
with the Pro Pack installed), additional options become available:
1. Randomly Shaped Marks
2. Randomly Placed Marks
3. Special Compensation Methods
Randomly shaped marks refer to the usage of round and cross-shaped registration marks.
Randomly placed marks indicate that it's not necessary to position the marks solely outside
the job on the left and right sides; they can also be placed within white areas of the job, closer
to the objects to be cut, thereby enhancing accuracy. The special compensation methods
enable the retention of the original geometry of the objects intended for cutting.
