1. IAT sensor
Step Action Yes No
1 1) With the ignition switch “OFF”, disconnect the IAT sensor
connector.
2) With the ignition switch “ON”, check the voltage at the
“Lg/B” wire terminal of the IAT sensor connector.
Is the voltage 4 V more?
Go to step 2. • “Lg/B” wire shorted to
“B/W” wire or ground
circuit.
• If the wiring is OK,
substitute a known-
good ECM and
recheck.
2 1) Check the IAT sensor.
Refer to “IAT Sensor Inspection” in Section 1C
(Page 1C-11).
Is it in good condition?
Poor IAT sensor
connection, intermittent
trouble or a faulty ECM
may be cause.
Faulty IAT sensor.
