Oil Pump
• Install the O-ring to the oil pump and apply SUZUKI
SUPER GREASE to it.
CAUTION
!
Replace the O-ring with a new one.
: Grease 99000–25010 (SUZUKI SUPER
GREASE A or equivalent)
• Install the oil pump.
NOTE
Set the oil pump shaft end “A” to the water
pump shaft.
• Tighten the oil pump mounting bolts to the specified
torque.
Tightening torque
Oil pump mounting bolt (a): 10 N·m (1.0 kgf-m,
7.0 lb-ft)
• Install the washer (1) and pin (2).
NOTE
Be careful not to drop the washer (1) and pin
(2) into the crankcase.
• Install the oil pimp driven gear (3).
• Install the snap ring (4).
CAUTION
!
Never reuse a snap ring.
Special tool
: 09900–06107 (Snap ring pliers (opening
type))
• Install the washer (5) and thrust washer (6) onto the
countershaft.
NOTE
The chamfer side “B” of thrust washer
should face the crankcase side.
• Install the oil pump drive sprocket to the countershaft.
NOTE
Teeth “C” on the sprocket must face the
clutch side.
• Pass the chain between the oil pump drive and driven
sprockets.
