NOTE
Steps 1 through 3 apply to both sides of the mower.
1. Install the bedknife backing assembly (1), positioning
the top of the bedknife backing (3) between the two
adjuster screws (2 and 4).

NOTES
Apply anti-seize compound to the threads of the bedknife
backing mounting screws (5) before installing.
2. Install the bedknife backing mounting screws (5) in
the frame and bedknife backing.
3. Adjust bedknife. (See “Bedknife-to-Reel Adjustment”
on page 8-14.)
4. Install the cutting unit to mower. (See “Cutting Unit”
on page 8-20.)
