Belt Adjustment
See Figures 10-5 and 10-6.
1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-5.)

2. Remove two screws (3), two screws (4), four lock
washers (2), four flat washers (1), and remove pulley
cover (5) and groomer cover (6).

3. Loosen eccentric mounting screw (8) and belt
tension link mounting screw (10).
4. Using a socket, turn eccentric (9) by hand until belt
(7) is tight.
5. Tighten eccentric mounting screw (8) to 8–10 lb-ft
(10.8–13.6 N·m).
6. Tighten belt tension link mounting screw (10) to 20
lb-ft (27.1 N·m).
7. Install groomer cover (6), pulley cover (5), four flat
washers (1), four lock washers (2), two screws (4),
and two screws (3).
