1. Connect one end of the cable to the EXT MIXER connector on the R3172/82.
2. Connect the other end of the cable to the Lo input connector on the waveguide
mixer.

Power on
3. Turn the instrument power on.
Initializing the set conditions
This resets the current settings to the factory defaults.
4. Press SHIFT and CONFIG(PRESET).
The factory defaults are loaded.
Switching to External Mixer Mode
5. Press FREQ, 1/2_more and Mixer INT/EXT(EXT).
