CAUTION: When disassembly or installing the CO
2
absorber canister, be careful not to
scratch the surface of the ring deal or the gasket, which can result in gas leakage.
CAUTION: The residual moisture in the breathing system must be drained before
removing the threaded tube.
NOTE: The oxygen sensor cover and the O-ring can be cleaned with mild detergent and
disinfected with water-soluble disinfectant.
NOTE: The O-ring of the airway pressure gauge can be cleaned with mild detergent and
disinfected with water-soluble disinfectant.
NOTE: The APL valve can be sterilized with the respiratory system module as a whole
or separately.
7.3.1. Cleaning method
WARNING: After cleaning the parts, be sure to clear the residual detergent by washing
with clean water.
CAUTION: Use mild detergent in cleaning to avoid damaging respiratory system
components. The pH of the cleaning solution must be within 7.0 to 10.5.
NOTE: Organic, halogenated or petroleum-based solvents, anaesthetics, glass
cleaners, acetone, or other types of cleaners are not recommended.
7.3.1.1. Surfaces wipe
Cleaner: 75% alcohol
Supplies: cleaning cloth
Procedure:
a) Wet a soft clean cloth in the cleaning agent and wipe the surface of the component 5 times.
Change the clean soft cloth after each wipe. If there are still visible contaminants remaining,
wipe repeatedly until there is no visible contamination.
b) Wet a soft clean cloth in the cleaning agent and wipe the surface of the component thoroughly
for 5 minutes. If there are still visible contaminants remaining, wipe repeatedly until there is no
visible contamination.
c) Clean the surface of the component with a soft clean cloth after cleaning in pure water, and
repeat 3 times.
7.3.1.2. Rinse
Flushing medium: tap water/pure water
