5.6.1.3. Pressure Control Ventilation (PCV)
PCV is the mode of ventilation according to the set target pressure, and the ventilation volume
(and flow velocity) varies subordinately, which is related to the compliance of the respiratory
system and airway resistance. Tidal volume changes with lung compliance and airway resistance.
The flow velocity is a deceleration wave, and the alveoli are filled in the early stage of inspiration,
which is beneficial to the gas exchange in the lungs.
