A destination is selected by sliding the list vertically on the touch-screen or by using the arrow up/down
buttons on the keypad. The selection is confirmed by pressing “Ok”.
Destination selection can be cancelled by pressing “Cancel”.
The list can be filtered by code or description, for quickly locating the desired destination. The active filter
mode is highlighted in the soft keys description bar (“Code” for filtering by code, and “Descr” for filtering by
description). Filter mode can be changed by pressing the soft key corresponding to the desired mode.
Destinations are sorted by code or by description depending on the current filtering mode.
A filter is applied by typing the desired text. So, for example (Figure 17), while “Code” filtering mode is active,
typing “19” shows all the destinations whose code contains the string “19”.
Figure 17: Filtering destinations
The filter is applied as soon as the last typed filter character is confirmed (as usual can be pressed for
quickly confirm the last character).
The active filter is shown in the upper part of the screen.
An active filter can be modified by simply typing a new filter (just press repeatedly until the filter is empty
for completely disable list filtering).
Changing filtering mode (from “Code” to “Descr” or viceversa) resets the previous active filter.
The filter is retained by the system: if the destination list is accessed again, the last used filter mode and filter
text are proposed by default.
If the destinations list is accessed from TC-430™ main screen by typing an alphanumeric character on the
keypad, then the pressed key is taken as a part of the filter (considering the last filter mode selected by the
user). This feature is really useful if the bus driver already knows, for example, the code of the destination to
be selected, because in such scenario the driver can quickly select the desired destination by simply starting
to type its code on the main screen and then confirm the selection).
Once a destination is confirmed, then it is reported on the TC-430™ main screen (Figure 18).
