DISPLAYING DATA
iKon-L SECTION 6
Page 86
In descriptions of the data window and in on-screen captions the terms x-axis, y-axis and data-axis are used
as follows:-
• The x- and y-axes define a pixel’s position on the two-dimensional CCD-chip, e.g.:
• The x-axis (or horizontal display axis) is parallel to the readout register and may be calibrated in pixels
or in a unit of your choice.
• The y-axis (or vertical display axis) is perpendicular to the readout register and may be calibrated in
pixels or in a unit of your choice.
• The data-axis is calibrated in the unit of your choice and has data values plotted against it. In 2D and
3D display modes, the data-axis is the vertical display axis. In Image Display Mode, data are
represented by a color or a grayscale tone.
For further information on Calibration, please refer to Section 8.
In all display modes, x- and data-values are displayed on the status bar along the bottom edge of the Data
Window. When data has been acquired in a mode other than Full Vertical Binning, y-values are also displayed
in the status bar.
