6.3.17 CECT 11.1.12 Device Menu Control
When “ALL TEST” is selected, the tests for the test IDs are started. When a test ID number is clicked with the
mouse, only the selected test is started. The procedures for the tests performed with the VA-1842 are shown
below.

Connect the HDMI input of the DUT (TV) to the HDMI output of the VA-1842.

Check that the DUT is in the state in which pressing
a remote control key has an effect.
Send <Image View On> to the DUT.
Broadcast <Active Source>.
Send <Menu Status> ["Activated"] to the DUT.
Press a remote control key that the DUT supports.
Press other supported keys.
(Repeat this procedure with the device logical
addresses allowed for the DUT.)
When a remote control key is pressed, DUT
sends <User Control Pressed>.
DUT does not handle a remote control key
press locally.

Set the logical address to 15.
Check that the DUT is in the state in which pressing
a remote control key has an effect.
Send <Image View On> to the DUT.
Broadcast <Active Source>.
Send <Menu Status> ["Activated"] to the DUT.
Press the UP key of the remote control keys.
DUT ignores <Menu Status>.
DUT handles the remote control key press
locally.
<User Control Pressed> is not sent.
