The Automatic Needle Threader does not thread the needle
The needle selected in the needle selection cannot be
automatically threaded, e.g. twin needle.

Single needle: Select the needle in the needle
selection to match the attached needle. [}see
page33]

Double and triple needles: Thread the needle by
hand.
Automatic threading is not possible with the selected
presser foot.
►
Attach the appropriate presser foot and select it in
the presser foot selection. [}see page40]
The automatic needle threader is dirty.
►
Clean the needle threader. [}see page101]
The threader mechanism is not in the correct position.
►
Check the position of the threader mechanism.
►
If the needle threader is at the front, turn the
needle threader slightly to the left until it is perpen-
dicular to the machine head. If necessary, confirm
the error message. Rethread the needle.
Stitch regulation does not react correctly
Dust or thread residue in front of the BISR sensor.

Switch off the stitch regulation.
►
Open the bobbin cover.
►
Clean the sensor at the bobbin cover and the area
under the stitch plate with a brush and soft cloth.
BSR not detected
BSR cable not inserted correctly.
►
Insert the BSR connector properly and ensure it is
clicked into place.
Screen not responding
The screen is locked

Unlock the screen. [}see page23]
Screen is defective or not connected correctly.
►
Contact your BERNINA dealer.
Wrong Touchscreen Pen
►
Use the supplied touchscreen pen or finger.
Error during Firmware Update
USB stick is not recognized.
►
Use a BERNINA USB stick.
Update process is blocked and the animation on the
screen stops.
►
Remove the USB stick.
►
Switch off the machine.
►
Switch the machine on.
►
Follow the instructions on the screen.
►
