The machine offers various options for securing the
thread at the beginning and end of the seam.
At the Beginning of the Seam
n Thread with the needle threader or press the
Thread Cutter
button.
If the Securing Stitches function is switched on in
the sewing settings, the machine secures.
n Manually sew a few stitches forward, then
backward, then forward again.
n Press the Securing
button before starting to
sew.
n With a back-kick on the foot control, if the
Securing
function is switched on for the back-
kick.
At the End of the Seam
n Manually sew a few stitches backward, then
forward again.
n Press the Securing
button when securing is to
be carried out.
n Press the Pattern End
button. The Stop
icon appears in the stitch preview.
If the button for the Securing
function is
activated in sewing settings, the machine stops and
secures at the end of the pattern.
n Press the Thread Cutter
button.
If the button for the Securing
function is
activated in sewing settings, the machine secures
when the button is pressed and cuts the thread.
n With a back-kick on the foot control, if the
Securing
function is switched on for the back-
kick.
