Calibrating the Hoop

Hoop Calibration
Hoops must be calibrated when new and after every
machine firmware update.
With the Hoop Calibration function, you can calibrate
all hoops.
1. Hoop the fabric with non-woven material.
2. Place the template in the inner hoop onto the
fabric.
3. Attach the hoop.
ð The machine recognizes the attached
embroidery hoop and displays it in the Status
Bar.
4. Open the Hoop Calibration setting.
5. Switch on the Camera
and Laser functions.
ð The laser indicates the exact position of the
needle.
6. If the needle is not positioned exactly at the center
of the template, center the needle using the arrow
buttons.
7. Confirm the hoop calibration.
The setting is saved when the machine is switched off.
With the Reset Calibration function, you can delete
an exisiting calibration.

Quilt Settings
With the Quilt Settings
function, you can switch
on and off special quilt settings for thread cutting and
securing.
Quilt Settings:
n Quilt Securing Stitches.
n Thread Cut Disabled.
n Thread Away Disabled.
Thread Cut After Start
If the Thread Cut After Start
function is switched
on, the machine stops after a few stitches and you can
cut the thread end by hand.
Securing
With the Securing
function, you can switch the
sewing of securing stitches on and off.
Securing Stitches
When the Securing
function is switched on, you
can use the Securing Stitches
function, to select
how securing stitches are sewn. The following
functions are available:
n Secure in Place: Securing Stitches in Place.
n Running Stitches: Running Stitches.
Secure at Beginning
With the Secure at Beginning
function, you can
switch the sewing of securing stitches at the beginning
of the embrodery design on and off.
If an embroidery design has programmed securing
stitches, the programmed securing stitches are sewn.
Secure at End
With the Secure at End
function, you can switch
the securing stitches at the end of the embroidery
design.
If an embroidery design has programmed securing
stitches, the programmed securing stitches are sewn.
Unit of Measurement

Unit of Measurement
With the Unit of Measurement function, you can set
the preferred measurement, either mm or inches. The
embroidery size is shown in the selected measurement
unit. The setting is saved when the machine is switched
off.
SPI (Customizable Quilt Designs)

SPI (Customizable Quilt
Designs)
With the SPI (Customizable Quilt Designs) setting,
you can set the stitch length for Customizable Quilt
Designs in stitches per inch (SPI).
