TIP
n Stabilize the fabric.
n Guide the fabric lightly with your fingertips.
n Use the guide lines on the Slide-on Table to guide
the fabric in a straight line.
n Draw parallel guide lines to keep the fabric
parallel to the presser foot.
TIP
You can also modify the sewing direction in 0.5°
increments during sewing using the multi-function
knobs.

Stitch Counter
With the Stitch Counter function, you can save the
length of a seam for some stitch patterns based on the
count of stitches sewn. The number of stitches counted
is displayed on the Sewing Screen and saved until the
machine is switched off. [}see page63]

With the Distort function, you can distort stitch
patterns in a horizontal and vertical direction. For
example, sewing a straight font in italics.

Reverse
With the Reverse function, you can sew in reverse
without pressing and holding the Quick Reverse
button.

Backstep
With the Backstep function, you can perform
precise backwards stitching. The machine ensures that
the stitches sewn in reverse are sewn precisely over the
stitches sewn forward. This allows you to secure
decorative stitches or make individual stitch patterns
bolder by sewing over them several times.

Stitch Counter
Prerequisite:
n A stitch pattern is selected.
1. Tap the Stitch Counter
icon.
ð In the info bar the Stitch Counter
and
Repeat
icons are shown and the Quick
Reverse
icon flashes.
2. Sew the desired length.
3. Push the Quick Reverse
button.
ð The Stitch Counter
display changes to
AUTO and shows the length of the saved
seam.
ð As soon as the stitch pattern is sewn again, the
machine stops after the saved stitch number.
ð The stitch count is saved until it is overwritten
or cleared.
4. To access the saved stitch count after deactivating
the function, tap the Stitch Counter
icon
twice, until AUTO appears.
