Hardware Errors (continued)
Pinch roller is unable to engage
media.
Error number: 93
Something is blocking the pinch
roller from engaging properly
with the tape.
Open the cover and remove any
media or foreign objects that are
preventing the pinchroller from
engaging properly.
Media Errors
Media jammed at eject path.
Error 88
Media is jammed at the eject path. Clear the jam along the paper path
Media jammed or roll is empty.
Error 54
Tape is jammed along media path.
- or -
There is no more tape on the roll.
Clear the jam by gently removing
any crumpled media from the
media path.
- or -
1. Remove the media roll.
2. Cut off the crumpled media.
3. Re-insert the media.
Media sensor shows end of media.
Error 53
There is no more tape
- or -
The leading edge of the tape
cannot be detected.
Insert a new roll of tape
- or -
Feed the leading edge of the tape
past the indicator.
The leading edge of the media
cannot be detected by the printer.
Error 55
Media is not inserted correctly.
1. Feed the tape until it is past the
indicator
2. Ensure media guides line up
against the edge of the media
Media shifts when printing frames
around label causing a slight
misalignment of the frame.
Media guides not adjusted
correctly, producing slack that
allows the tape to shift during
printing.
Adjust media guides so they are
snug against the media. To make
fine adjustments to the frame, see
“Adjusting Print Offset” on
page 94.
