Move Tubulars with Pipe Handler and Carrier
The carrier-lift cables on the Catwalk are designed to work together. If upon inspection, a cable is found to
be defective (kinked, frayed, or otherwise damaged), corrective action should be immediately taken. Lower
the carrier to a safe position and replace the bad cable prior to using the carrier again.
Caution
The Catwalk should never be operated with only
one carrier-lift cable, as extensive damage to the
Carrier could occur. Before using the carrier,
replace any kinked, frayed, or otherwise
damaged cable.
Caution
Before operating the equipment, verify the pipe
rack hydraulic legs are properly deployed.
Caution
NEVER leave tubulars on the Catwalk when the
carrier is in operation. Tubulars could roll under the
carrier or lift arm, causing extensive damage to the
equipment. All tubulars must be on pipe racks
during carrier operation.
