6. After the scanner(s), SC5000, and accessories have been carefully wired,
apply power to the system.
7. When everything is powered up, connect a laptop to the CFG port on the
fron
t of the SC5000. In a open (non-ring) system, the laptop can be con-
nected to ETH2 of the scanner.
8. Open a browser and enter the default IP (192.168.3.100,
see section .).

9. Log on to e-Genius
(see section
.).
10. From the menu tree, select Modi
fy Settings | System Info.
11. If Master is selected, the system is poled, and the other scanners are added
to the Device information list. The SC5000 Controller always serves as the
Master when used.
12. From Modify Se
ttings | Global Settings | Operating Mode, select a mode,
trigger source, encoder setting.
