Error
In a Master/

tion, the Master

itors the
status of the
Slaves in its
network. If a
slave unit fails
to be identified,
the Master will
post this mes-
sage.

ne slave unit
may be shown
as not
responding.
- In a tunnel

figuration,
the cabling that
connects the
system into to a
network must be
intact or a scan-
ner will be

responding. 
- Make sure all

are powered on.

are connected.
- Check scanners
power sou
rce.
- Replace scanner.

Error
In a Master/
Sla
ve configura-
tion, the Master
mon
itors the
status of the
Slaves in its
network. If a
Slave resets, it
sends a reset
message to the
Master. The
Master then
posts this error
condition on the
diagnostic
screen.
- The scan-
ning tunnel's
no-read rate

ay increase
during the
Slave scan-
ner's reconnec-
tion.
- This condition
is related to
a
slave scanner.
Make sure the
power source of
the slave is not
faulty.
- If condition per-
sists, replace the
sc
anner.

Motor Fail-
ure
Error
The scanner's
mirr
or wheel
motor has
failed.
- The scanner
will b
e powered
up but will not
emit laser light
from its exit
window.
- The scanners

otor will not
be spinning.
- Hold your hand
in fro
nt of the
scanner to deter-
mine if the laser
is on.
This is an internal
fa
ilure and is not
field serviceable

- Replace scanner.
