Installing the DIMM sensor clips
There are two DIMM sensor clips installed on memory slots A1 and A2.
Prerequisites
1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.
2. Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
Steps
1. Locate the DIMM clips A1 and A2 and press in the DIMM latches to lock the respective memory module sockets A1 and A2.
2. Place the DIMM clips A1 and A2 at a tilting angle with the cable facing towards the front of the sled.
NOTE:
Avoid using excessive force while placing the DIMM clips at a tilting angle, as it is made of plastic and can be
easily broken.
3. Press down until the DIMM clips are seated into place and touch the surface of system board.
4. Connect the DIMM clips A1 and A2 to the heater ports in the system board.
