Installing a cooling fan on 1U sled
Prerequisites
1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety Instructions.
2. Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
3. Remove the 2U sled from 1U node.
NOTE: Observe the fan cable routing or make a note of the fan cable routing.
Steps
1. Lower the fan module into the cage until it is seated firmly.
NOTE: The airflow directional arrow outward on the fan indicates Reverse-Air-Flow (RAF).

2. Route the fan cables properly through the fan guard and connect the cable to the connector on the power distribution board
(PDB) of the 1U sled as shown in the image below.
NOTE: Fan 1, 2, 3 and 4 are connected to the 1U PDB.
