Steps
1. To remove the M.2 NVMe module from the M.2 direct riser, rotate the latch to a horizontal position and then pull out the
engage pin.
2. Pull the M.2 NVMe module to remove it from the M.2 direct riser.

Prerequisites
1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.
2. Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
3. Remove the latch on the snap clip and rotate the latch to a vertical position.
NOTE: The position of the blue latch used for the M.2 2280 and M.2 22110 NVMe drives are different.
Steps
1. Align the M.2 NVMe module at an angle with the M.2 direct riser connector.
2. Insert the M.2 NVMe module firmly until it is fully seated in the M.2 direct riser connector.
3. To secure the M.2 NVMe module on the M.2 direct riser module, insert the engage pin to rotate the latch to a vertical
position and then insert the latch into the snap clip.
