(g.61/D) (Raise boom cylinder check valve)
(g.62/D) (Extend boom external cylinder check valve)
(g.63/D) (Extend boom internal cylinder check valve)
CYLINDER CHECK VALVES
The cylinder check valves prevent uncontrolled cylinder piston mo-
vement if there is no hydraulic pressure or a exible hose bursts.
The valves are directly mounted on the cylinders.
Checking the cylinder check valves
- CAUTION:
Ensure there are no bystanders within range of the machine
during the check procedures.
- CAUTION:
During the test procedure, one movement must be control-
led at a time.
- CAUTION:
If there are any faults, do not use the machine until it has
been repaired.
A) Boom raising cylinders: (g.61/D)
1. Start the engine. Ensure that the parking brake is enga-
ged and the gear selector is in neutral.
2. Raise the boom approximately 45°.
3. While the engine is running at 1400 rpm, act on the con-
trol lever to lower the boom. During the boom movement,
stop the engine. The movement of the boom must slow
down and stop as the engine slows down and stops.
If the boom keeps on moving after the engine has stopped
running, the cylinder check valves are faulty. Repair the fault
as soon as possible. Contact a DIECI service centre.
B) Boom extension cylinder: (g.62-63/D)
1. Start the engine. Ensure that the parking brake is enga-
ged and the gear selector is in neutral.
2. Raise and extend the boom completely.
3. While the engine is running at 1400 rpm, act on the
control lever to retract the boom. During the boom move-
ment, stop the engine. The movement of the boom must
slow down and stop as the engine slows down and stops.
If the boom keeps on moving after the engine has stopped,
the cylinder check valve is faulty. Repair the fault as soon as
possible. Contact a DIECI service centre.
