AIR FILTER
(g.27/D Pos.”1”, g.28/D Pos.”1”)
Cartridge Cleaning / Replacement
An air lter in bad conditions leads to a reduction of power, ex-
cessive fuel consumption and reduction of the engine lifespan.
In the electronic engine filter clogging (fig.27/D Pos.”1”)
is signalled by the relevant LED located in the central da-
shboard; When clogging is signalled, it is possible to conti-
nue to operate for a time not exceeding 10 hours. Mainte-
nance must however be carried out as often as described.
In the mechanical engine lter clogging (g.28/D Pos.”1”)
is signalled by an optical LED (g.29/D Pos.”1”). This shows
the exact moment when maintenance or replacement must
be performed, because clogged. The LED remains blocked
in the alarm position (red). After the due interventions have
been performed, press the head of the same to take it into
the rest position. At the time of the clogging signal, it is pos-
sible to operate for no longer than one hour.
The lter is cleaned using compressed air, maximum 3 Bar
at a distance not shorter than 150mm paying great attention
not to damage the ltering element.
Use a wet cloth that will not leave residues when cleaning
the box and lid.
- ATTENTION:
Clean lters only when the indicator light signals clogging or
at scheduled maintenance intervals. Unnecessary, frequent
cleaning exposes components to handling damage which
can allow dust and dirt to pass into the ltering phases, cau-
sing damage to the engine.
- ATTENTION:
If the ltering elements come into contact with liquids of of
any type, they must be replaced.
Regularly check the suction sleeves and replace them im-
mediately if worn or damaged.
Regularly check that bolts and clamps are properly tighte-
ned. Air must not be allowed to enter circulation in the engi-
ne without having rst passed through the lter.
- ATTENTION:
Replace the gasket if it is ruined.
- ATTENTION:
Do not operate with an improperly assembled or damaged lter.
- ATTENTION:
To ensure maximum lter efciency, we recommend operat-
ing only with complete lters.
All worn parts should be replaced as quickly as possible.
- PROHIBITED -
Operating the vehicle without the engine air filter IS
STRICTLY PROHBITED.
The engine takes in air constantly during use;
Dust that enters into circulation can cause
serious system damage.
