Protecting System Settings Chapter 5: System Setup
PROTECTING SYSTEM SETTINGS
You can use password protection to prevent an AAC user or other
people from accessing the Mo Setup menu or the Modify button, so
no unauthorized changes can be made to the system.
Set up Password
Protection
Your MightyMo/MiniMo device can be programmed with a password
that will prevent any unauthorized access of the system menus.
To set up password protection for the first time, follow these steps.
1. Select the blue Setup button in the title bar. The Mo Setup menu
will open.
2. Select the Interface Features button. The Interface Features
menu will open.
3. Select the Advanced Settings tab.
4. Select the Enable Password check box. The system keyboard will
open.
5. Use the system keyboard to enter a password.
6. Select the OK button. The system keyboard will request that you
verify the password.
7. Use the system keyboard to enter the password exactly as you did
the first time.
8. Select the OK button to close the system keyboard.
9. Select the OK button when the password is successfully set. If
setting the password failed, return to step 4 and try again.
10. Select the OK button to close the Interface Features menu.
11. Select the OK button to close the Mo Setup menu.
You will now need to enter your password any time you select the
green Modify button or the blue Setup button in the title bar.
2 Note: The password is not case-sensitive. You may use upper- and/or
lower-case letters as well as numbers. Your password should
contain between 4-32 characters.
