Customizing System Settings Chapter 5: System Setup
This section includes an overview of the System Settings menu and
step-by-step instructions for the activities mentioned above.
Setting the Backlight
Timeout
Setting up a backlight timeout can extend the usable length of the
battery charge. Power consumption will be lessened when the device
in not in active use.
To automatically dim the backlight when the MightyMo/MiniMo is not
in use for a specified period of time, follow these steps:
1. Select the blue Setup button in the title bar. The Mo Setup menu
will open.
2. Select the System Settings button. The System Settings menu
will open.
3. Select the Backlight Timeout pull-down menu. The menu will
open to display a list of choices. Choose one of the options: 1
Minute, 5 Minutes or 30 Minutes. (Or select Off to remove an
existing backlight timeout.)
The pull-down menu will close and display only the chosen option.
4. To test the dimming, select the Demo Screen Settings Button.
5. Select the OK button to accept the new setting and close the
System Settings menu.
Preferred
Recordings
Use this pull-down menu to choose the
default set of recordings to use on your
device. The options are Mine, and the set
that was included when you ordered the
device (either Male, Female or Child). Refer
to Selecting Preferred Recordings on
page 8-23 for more information.
OK/Cancel Select the OK button to accept any changes
made and close the System Settings menu.
Select the Cancel button to close the menu
without saving any changes.
2 Note: If your MightyMo/MiniMo device has a newer processor, the VGA
Output check box will be disabled.
