13. Power your device on and leave it on until it shuts down.
14. Plug the charger into your device.
15. Charge your device for at least the recommended time. Charging
a MiniMo takes approximately six hours, and charging a MightyMo
takes approximately nine hours. (The recommended practice is to
charge the device overnight.)
This completes the battery calibration process. The gauge in the
Battery Info window should now accurately track the amount of power
left in the battery.
Analyze the Battery
Runtime
MightyMo devices can achieve approximately 10-12 hours of runtime
on a full battery charge within the first year of use. MiniMo devices
can achieve approximately 6-8 hours of runtime on a full battery
charge within the first year of use. If your battery is providing this kind
of performance, it is in good working condition.
Performing a runtime analysis will measure the actual time it takes to
completely drain a fully-charged battery through your normal use of
the device.
To perform a runtime analysis, follow these steps:
1. Select the blue Setup button in the title bar. The Mo Setup menu
will open.
2. Select the System Settings button. The System Settings menu
will open.
3. Select the Backlight Timeout pull-down and select Off.
4. Select the OK button to exit the System Settings menu.
5. Press the power button to shut down the device.
6. Select the Yes button to confirm that you want to shut down the
device.
2 Note: You can use your MightyMo/MiniMo device during this discharge
phase of the calibration process.
