Chapter 4: Working with Pages About Pages
Define the Page’s Background Mode
To define the background mode of a communication page, follow
these steps:
1. Select the green Modify button in the title bar. The button will turn
red after it is selected.
2. Select a vacant spot on the page. The Modify Page menu will
open.
3. Select the Background Mode pull-down menu. The menu will
expand to show the following options:
4. Choose the background mode that you want to use. The pull-down
menu will close, displaying the mode that you chose.
5. Select the OK button to close the Modify Page menu and accept
the changes.
Color Select this option to use the color that is
defined in the Color group box as a solid
background for the page.
Unscaled
Picture
Select this option to add the picture that is
defined in the Background Picture group
box to the center of the page background.
The picture will be displayed at its original
size.
Scaled Picture Select this option to add the picture that is
defined in the Background Picture group
box to the center of the page background.
The size and proportions of the picture will
be altered to make it fill the entire
background of the page.
Tiled Picture Select this option to fill the page background
with copies of the picture that is defined in
the Background Picture group box. The tiles
will be the original size of the picture.
2 Note: If you opted to use a picture as the background, follow the steps
under Select the Page’s Background Picture on page 4-17 to
select the background picture.
