Chapter 10: Using Custom Digital Pictures Transferring Pictures
TRANSFERRING PICTURES
This section provides step-by-step instructions for sharing digital
pictures between your computer (Windows or Macintosh) and your
MightyMo/MiniMo device.
Import a Picture from a
USB Storage Device
If a digital picture is loaded onto a removable USB storage device,
you can copy the picture file to your MightyMo/MiniMo device. The
picture will be saved as a custom symbol.
To import a digital picture from a USB storage device, follow these
steps:
1. Select the blue Setup button in the title bar. The Mo Setup menu
will open.
2. Select the Import Items button. The Import Items menu will open.
3. Select the Import Pictures button. The Select a Picture File menu
will open.
4. Select the Show All Directories check box.
5. In the left viewport, select the UMS_FOLDER folder.
2 Note: Before beginning these steps, make sure the digital picture is
scaled within the maximum size restraints - 800 pixels wide X 600
pixels high. If the picture is larger than either of these dimensions,
you will not be able to copy it.
2 Note: Before you begin, make sure that the USB storage device is
connected to the host port on your MightyMo/MiniMo device. See
the illustration on page 2-5 for the port locations.
2 Note: If you plan to use a commercial USB storage device that has never
been used with your MightyMo/MiniMo device, save a copy of any
data on the USB storage device in a secure place and follow the
steps in Format a USB Storage Device on page 2-19. After that is
complete, copy the information back onto the USB storage device
and continue with this task. This does not apply to the USB storage
device that was shipped with your MightyMo/MiniMo device.
